This happens to me occaisonally. Blow away all the files in the linux
directory tree, and reinstall the source.
Under zsh, I use: cd /usr/src/linux; rm **/*
This keeps the dot files (like .config).

i did make dep and it seemed to have fixed that! ;) thanks.. but now when
it compiles it aborts for this :'
