Correct, the datalinks are one-way, continuous data with about 5 percent
interruption for the destination ISR to get the data, with the second
pong of the ping started before this interval so overall, the throughput
is 1.8 megaBYTES (the DAS data rate) continuous (truly forever). You
can't retry the data because it no longer exists so... it has to be good
the first time (which was the whole idea of this reference in the first
place). Sorry about the decimal point.
