I tried to compile it and got this:
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modutils-970103/insmod'
make -C genksyms all
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/modutils-970103/genksyms'
gcc -g -O -Wall -I../include -D_GNU_SOURCE -c -o genksyms.o genksyms.c
genksyms.c:59: crc32.tab: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [genksyms.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modutils-970103/genksyms'
make: *** [all] Error 2
I manually compiled the makecrc32 program, and did a 'makecrc32 >
crc32.tab'. That fixed this particular error, but then I got this:
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/modutils-970103/genksyms'
gcc -g -O -Wall -I../include -D_GNU_SOURCE -c -o lex.o lex.c
lex.l:99: keywords.c: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [lex.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/modutils-970103/genksyms'
make: *** [all] Error 2
So then I did a 'make keywords.c'. After that, everything compiled just
fine. Kernel 2.1.20 with the new modutils runs fine. It looks like some
things may just be out of order. I think this should be fixed before
modutils-2.1.21 is released.
Incidentally, I compiled this one with PGCC 2.7.2 snapshot 961122 with
options "-mpentium -frisc". No problems with that so far either.
