slow ppp with 2.1.27

Hi guys. I just noticed a significant slowdown in my PPP traffic when I
switched from 2.1.20 to 2.1.27. I'm still running a rather old version of
ppp 2.2.0e I believe. I know this isn't much info but I'm not at home
right now Iand I was just interested if anyone else noticed a slowdown.
