at halt/reboot: umount: device /dev/hda5 busy (=/usr)

Hi,

For using the development kernels I upgraded all required packages. I ran
2.1.26 without problems on libc 5.3.xx and all other stuff (RedHat 4.1
system)

Since I upgraded (manually) I see the following when I halt/reboot:

umount: device /dev/hda5 busy

(/dev/hda5 = /usr on my system )

I upgraded ld.so to 1.8.10 last weekend, no result.

Has somebody had the same problem or has a solution ?

A few other things:

- 2.1.27 comes with SMP=1, so I could throw away the result of 40 minutes of
compiling (486DX133)

- SysVinit 2.69 doesn't exist.

I hope somebody can help me,

Regards,

Bas.
