I run the command
while true; do date; done >/dev/tty
in two different xterms (or VCs, or even one xterm and one VC).
When I stop the output of an xterm with ^S, the output in the other xterm is
stopped, too. There seems to be a common state for all ttys opened via
/dev/tty. Is this a bug or is this behaviour intended?
The version of the Linux kernel is 2.0.29.
