I see some logic in not allowing people to post, and esp. read the
mailing list through usenet. Mainly, they will *EXPERIENCE* how much
traffic this list gets, and will see what types of posts are sent,
regardless of whether they want to or not. It is very easy to mark a
whole bunch of news messages as read, it is more difficult to do so with
mail ...
