admin:/usr/src/linux# cpp: output pipe has been closed
I've just installed a slackware 3.2.0 dist. for the 1st time ( the version
that is ... ) .... first when trying to compile linux-2.0.0 it
came up straight away with a broken 'as' that seg-faulted ...
I've upgraded to all these and ran ldconfig ok :
binutils-2.8.1.0.1.bin.tar.gz
gcc-2.7.2.1.bin.tar.gz
ld.so-1.9.2.tar.gz
libc-5.4.33.bin.tar.gz
installed source and checked links in /usr/include (asm, linux)
linux-2.0.30.tar.gz
and read the ...
release.binutils-2.8.1.0.1
release.gcc-2.7.2.1
release.libc-5.4.33
First I upgraded the binutils and libc and ld.so ... that got 'as'
working ... but then 'cc1' broke.... so I got 2.7.2.1 ... and it
still does not work ...
Are there any other packages that I need to get upto date?
Any ideas greatly apreciated.
TIA,
