I was running Menuconfig on an ARCH=ppc system.
Kernel Version 2.0.30
ARCH ppc
entering menu "General"
Came back with:
Menuconfig has encountered a possible error in one of the kernel's
configuration files and is unable to continue.

message to the linux.dev.kernel news group.

Please indicate the kernel version you are trying to configure and
which menu you were trying to enter when this error occurred.
