Over the weekend, I installed a new system consisting of a
K6-233Mhz, FIC PA2007 motherboard and a 64Mb SDRAM dimm. When booting
linux, after the init phase. I get tons of:
Can't resolve symbol 'rypt'
Can't resolve symbol 'orecore'
whenever I try to execute a command. Then after a while those two lines
just start scrolling down the screen, and the computer reboots.
Now I assume I have a defective CPU, or could it be the DIMM? Given that
the only test the store did on the CPU was to boot DOS to see if it
worked, I am certainly not convinced I've received a fault proof CPU.
Any help on what those two error message scrolling down the screens are
would help greatly.
Thanks.
Nick.
