Procps broken under 2.1.51?

After doing all of the updates listed in Documentation/Changes,

procps 1.01 still says it is having a problem read /proc/meminfo.
procps 1.01 was compiled under 2.1.51 if that matters.

Is this a known issue, or is there something else I haven't heard
about?????
