Nothing. GGI's default idea of a screensaver is having a program started
on some VT which will monitor system activity using /proc and when
screen-saving seems appropriate, it simply issues a change_vt command
and starts up whatever you want as "saver effect" (including VESA
blanking, nifty graphics, ...).

Where is the problem ? I actually think having the blanking in the
kernel doesn't make much sense. And this ESC-code activated VESA
blanking ... well - I won't say anything about it ...
