Peter,

I might be seeing the same thing here. I have /home mounted NFS. I can
copy a file to a directory under /home, and it will take a little while
to actually appear there -- it's like the NFS _client_ is caching on the
client end, and only _eventually_ going and "refreshing" its knowledge
about the server.

a. Is this expected behavior?
b. Is this the same thing you're seeing?
