Well, with -f 3xxx it does seem more stable. The first time I tried it,
I receive "I/O error" and wasn't able to do anything with it (even
umount it). After rebooting, and a good night's sleep, I tried it again
and it seems to be working. I was able to do a du across the whole dir
(this was without the -m LANMAN1 option, so long filenames were
visible). I just received one of the errors about
smb_proc_readdir_long.
