ypbind on the 2.1.8x kernels...

Has anyone else noticed that ypbind doesn't actually bind right away in the
2.1.8x kernels? About a minute or two after booting up it binds... If I make
the mistake of starting X before it binds it locks my system up cold...

Here is my System...

RedHat 5.0
2.1.84 SMP Kernel
Dual P150 on a Tomcat Tyan IV
glibc 2.0.5c
ypbind 3.3
ypserv 1.2.5 (The same machine is also the YpServer)

Any ideas where I could look? I haven't seen any newer ypbind or ypserv
packages out there....

P.S. - It use to bind right away with the 2.1.7x kernels...
