Is there any point to using threaded FS drivers? or threaded physical
hardware drivers?

All of a sudden I'm remembering how AHA-1542's drivers under OS/2 2.1 were
multithreaded and LOTS faster than, say, windows' drivers.... *grin*

The only question I have is : are they appropriate to even look at under
Linux? (Linux now has the necessary support afaik :)
