It was pssssing me off too at first, especially
given a fact kernel guys do not suffer
from excessive documentation syndrom,
however after some deliberation I came to a conclusion
that dhcpcd client operating through kernel IP layer
is not the best idea.
So in this respect Alan Cox was right.
Dhcpcd must generate ethernet frames itself
and must not set interface to some bogus
IP address as it used to.
