Seconded. Hannu's reaction to the modular and other sound work was not
to complain but to discuss the best way to keep things cleanly working
together. Yes Hannu releases stuff commercially first - but that also paid
for your free sound drivers. You can't have it both ways.

It's far from independant - its built on OSS and while I've added a whole new
range of exciting bugs I've not thrown very much OSS code out at all yet. And
Hannu still sends me diffs to merge of bug fixes.

Those complaining about Hannu are doing him a real injustice
