'still'? Does this mean to you with stock 2.1.85 with no other patches
attached?

What architecture do you have? (i386, ppc, alpha, ???)

Is your disk full?

Can you do this:

% cd /usr/src/linux # or whatever
% wc `find * -name '[Cc]onf.in' -print | sort`

... and e-mail it to me?

This looks a lot like a syntax error in one of the Config.in files.
