The ext2 filesystem reserves a chunk of disk space (5% I think) for
"root-only use". This space is usable by root processes, but is not
shown as "available". I believe you can change this using a util in
the e2fsprogs suite (tunefs?), but a better approach would be to just
do some old-fashioned spring cleaning... delete a few more megs and
"available" will start showing up again.
