There's a way to fix that, by having two lists; this is precicely how the
NANOG list does it. Basically, you have two lists, one that everyone is
subscribed to, and one that the people who want to post subscribe to. All
postings go to the main address, but only the addresses in the "posting"
list can actually post. This allows you to subscribe multiple addresses to
the posting list, and only receive a single copy at whatever address you
subscribed to the main list.
That sounded more complicated than it really is...it's actually a fairly
nice system to work with, and eliminated the multiple-address problem well
for me. YMMV.
