2.1.88 E2FS Problems

Ok, not sure where this is coming from but I had a (what I consider
atleast) problem with a directory on my root partition. All me drives are
IDE, I am using a TX mobo. I went to compile glibc-2.0.6, It compiled and
installed fine, so I went to delete the source directory and blah. I had a
ton of e2fs errors saying the file was already deleted or that the
Operation was not permitted. After looking in the glibc-2.0.6 directory, I
saw about 10 files that were not deleted. They had some really weird sizes
and bit settings like:

?-ws--Sr-x config.cache

Then there was a new file called "io" that was roughly 1.6 Gigs. Strange
cause that partition is only 150 Megs, but 1.6 Gigs is the size of that
entire drive. No problem for me I thought, so I rebooted into 2.1.87 and
ran e2fsck on the partition, it fixed alot of things. But I still can't
delete those files. I can't even change the mods on it.

Can any one help me here? The partition still seems to sork fine (I hope
it will stay that way), but I can't just leave those files there forever.
