lp: am I dumb?

Am I missing something or is kmod not quite working right yet? If I
"modprobe lp", it loads the parport and parport_pc drivers correctly,
but if I depend on it autoloading (IE, cat > /dev/lp0 or whatever),
the parport_pc driver does not load and the lp device doesn't work. I
DO have parport_lowlevel aliased to parport_pc :)

Is there a workaround, or do I just have to load lp manually when I
want to print?
