I don't know what "khm" stands for, but if I ifconfig up a card and then
ping (ipv4) a known non-alive host on the same net, after a few seconds I
will get a printk of a "khm" from ip6_output in net/ipv6/ip6_output.c

...

[NB: the khm is with KERN_DEBUG - so you don't see it unless you use dmesg
or change the default console log level]
