I do however get problems with mounting nfs filesystems; all in the
RPC part (commands still in queue, timeouts, the kernel being puzzled
about "3 users?" and such...). Eventually the mount will come through,
but the system freezes at shutdown when it wants to unmount the remote
filesystems....
Right now, I suspect I simply need
to upgrade both mount and the rpc portmapper (the warning "mount
is older than kernel" is a bit of a giveaway) but I'm having trouble
locating recent versions of these; all searchengines point to sunsite
or sunsite mirros which only seem to have ancient version from 1994 or
older (which refuse to compile with the current kernel-headers anyway).
Where can I find recent version of the rpc-programs and mount program
(possibly even mountd) that will compille happily with the .95 kernel ?
