In the 2.0.x kernel series, a PPP packet captured with the SOCK_PACKET
interface starts immediately with the IP header, while an Ethernet packet
starts with the Ethernet header.
Are there any changes to the SOCK_PACKET interface for PPP?
Oh, and as an aside, what is the behavior of SOCK_PACKET with synchronous
PPP over ISDN with both the 2.0.x and 2.1.x series kernels (on the 2.0.x
series, outgoing packets appear to have some header data). I need to
extract the IP frame, but how can I tell the packet has data to strip or
not?
TIA
Gerard
