2.1.96pre1 aic7xxx lockups

It seems that the scsi generic driver and the loopback driver
are totally broken.
No way of mounting anything through the loop* devices, also there
is no way of reading audio tracks or burning a cd through the sg*
devices.

Going back to 2.1.89 (seems the last stable unstable kernel :)
