NOTE: this version has significant internal changes to the devfs
interaction with the dentry cache. Besides improving performance,
these changes should make devfs more robust against various timeouts
in accessing devices/loading modules.
This is against 2.1.97. Highlights of this release:
- No longer lock/unlock superblock in <devfs_put_super> (cope with
recent VFS interface change)
- Do not automatically change ownership/protection of /dev/tty
- Drop negative dentries when they are released
- Manage dcache more efficiently
