#It's not a problem of your NCR SCSI Controller! I had the same problem a few days ago and it was discussed here some more days ago; but the solution is very simple:
#Modify the drivers/scsi/53c7,8xx.c file in the following way:
#Search for 'pcibios_strerror' (there is only one), replace 'pcibios_strerror(error)' with 'error' instead. Afterwards your compilation will work fine!

Okay, I suspected it was something silly like that.

However, here's a new issue, this one's going out to linux-scsi too.

I've still got my AHA1520B in here as a safety measure. If the Tekram no
workie, then I've still got this so I can get at my kernel source. (All my
disk intensive stuff is on an IBM DCAS 2.1G SCSI2:) I compiled 2.0.33 with
AHA152x and NCR3C58xx support. /etc/lilo.conf has an 'append' line which
is needed for the AHA152x.

The Tekram isn't detected.

aha152x0: vital data: PORTBASE=0x140, IRQ=11, SCSI ID=7,

aha152x: trying software interrupt, ok.

Any ideas? The AHA152x won't work without the 'append.' I'm wondering if
that's breaking the Tekram detection. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
