I believe it was more homogeneous then UNIX to UNIX. Something more on
the lines HP/UX to HP/UX or SunOS to SunOS. Long long time ago when I
was fooling around with it, I was use a Unisys running Ctix and it would
only talk to another Ctix system. I believe something to do with file
and record locks (I think I recall it supporting only mandatory locking,
but I might be confuseing it with some of the other OSes of that time
that supported only mandatory locking like the Altos xenix:).
