I first tried on 2.1.105, so I can't make any claims for earlier 2.1.10x
kernels, but I have the same problem. I found that it would not configure
AT ALL - I tried manually spec'ing the port address, IRQ, and UART type,
no auto config parameters whatsoever, and I got that same error. If you've
got any ideas, I'd like to hear them as well - this is obviously not
correct behavior, but I've no idea what brought it on...
