I have been following this list on and off for a while now and I
finally have a question worth asking. We are haveing a problem with a
Linux machine that collects data from a real time stock data feed. This
is very drive intensive.
Sometimes when the market speeds up the machine will lock up.
With version 2.0.33 it would give us...
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123a7d
etc...
I just updated to 2.0.34 yesterday, hoping that this would fix it.
This morning it locked up with....
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
Aiee: sheduling in interrupt 00123c95
etc..
The machine is a PPro 200 with 128Mb of RAM. The drive is a 2.5 GB IDE.
It has a 3COM 3C509 Ethernet Card.
Has anyone ever heard of this problem or have any ideas.
Bill
