Two are SMP dual Pentium machines 166MHz, 300MHz. The other is
Single Pentiumn 166MHz
Note: This problem is NEW related to software changes after kernel
version 2.1.100 or there-abouts. I have version 2.1.95 with which I
have booted all these machines and there is no problem with this
version.
Since the only thing running during my tests are /bin/bash, the
make tasks, and update, corruption can't be caused by anything except
the current tasks, i.e., no network. Further if swap isn't installed,
corruption doesn't occur. This looks like a mm problem as relates to
the dircache area.
