I (rarely) see this exiting midnight commander.

I was running 2.1.111 (final) at the time, unsure if I was
running X or not; I probably was.
My system does not currently use devfs or have it even patched in.
So many fun patches, so little time.
I'm _really_ looking forward to seeing it in 2.3 so I can have 17
scsi disks on my laptop... ;-)
I haven't seen the original poster's message yet... hope this is
