hopefully someone out there has answers to several puzzles:
machine=alpha pc164
CC=egcs-1.0.3a (--disable-haifa)
linux-2.1.111 wont boot when compiled with binutils 2.9.1.0.x, but will with
2.8.1.0.23. Huh?
binfmt_aout works with linux-2.1.104, but segfaults with 2.1.111. What changed?
