So we should patch also the sound dma subsystem to not use the
enable_dma()/disable_dma() loops that totally lock my last very recent P5
UP Epox motherboard (VIA chipset)? Removing such
enable_dma()/disable_dma() fixed _perfectly_ the 2.1.x sound drivers on my
Epox motherboard (that now is returned to my reseller after showing the
hardware bug with an ugly M$DOG program that I had to develop to drive the
soundblaster as linux 2.1.x currently does under M$dog ;-).
I don' t know how many Epox motherboard are running Linux 2.0.x with a
soundcard out there... We will see after 2.2.0 will be released ;-).
