I thought it had disapeared somewhere around 2.1.90 but it's back again.
If my P200Pro, 64MB RAM, 3 Adaptec 2940(U)W, 14 SCSI disks/1 ATA disk
(please don't ask ;*) ) system comes up with dirty filesystems,
it completely locks without recognizing _any_ further keystroke
(after having succesfully checked several filesystems) while mounting FSs.
Filesystem sizes concerned: 155m root
3g /usr
5g /u1
Remount r/w of root, r/w mount of /usr and /u1 create their
corresponding mount messages and seem to be fine.
/u1 is the last one, followed by a FAT FS mount --> FULL STOP 8*(((
Maybe system hangs in FAT mount after doing large quantity i/o
while checking previously?
Put in a timeout loop of 10 seconds after the fsck's to be able to
reboot before mounting. If i do that, the system comes up o.k.
Any ideas?
Heinz
