In trying to find where the problem exists with my system not booting any
kernel after 2.1.110, I've located either the cause or an unrelated problem.
During boot, the IO-APIC does its IRQ pin assignments and then indicates which
pins aren't connected. Here is the boot up from kernel 2.1.109:
Init IO-APIC IRQs
IO-APIC pin 0,18,20,21,22,23 not connected
But, I get the following from 2.1.114 with no-hlt set so that shift-page up
works, but still no boot up:
Init IO-APIC IRQs
IO-APIC pin0Unknown Interrupt
,18,20,21,22,23 not connected
Any ideas? Still looking for help in trying to solve why my previously
'white-board' machine isn't booting any kernel after 2.1.110.
I am available to do any testing that anyone needs to fix this problem.
