hi,
we're running a dell poweredge on linux 2.1.115 SMP here and I got
stuck umounts on more than one occasion. I tried unmounting /home,
which is a 4 gig raid0 fs, with a _mounted_ subdirectory /home/ftp/vol1 which
is another raid0 of 2 gig or so. /home/pg97 is nfs exported and mounted by
10 machines. /users/pg98 was mounted from dellserver-2:/home/pg98, which
is an exact twin. /users is in the / partition and not connected with /home
at all. So I did a umount /home and got an unkillable umount stuck in D state.
Had to hit small white button to reboot and fsck 8 gigs :(
This has happened 3 times so far, but unfortunately not reproducible. Gives
EBUSY usually, as expected. All this happened when all machines were idle.
It also hung totally once - no console, not pingable. no oops in syslog.
