I have 3 of the same type drive.
The only way to use them is to disable tagged queuing, or
flash the "unofficial" upgrade to the drive.
With tagged queuing disabled I no longer have the scsi timeout problems
which you are currently seeing.
The Quantum Fireball's have a bug in the disk rom.
There is an "unofficial" upgrade that is suppose to fix the problem.
BTW, I have a BusLogic BT-932 and I have experiemented with
other controllers, the problem move with the drives themselves.
