is there any chance this will be changed in 2.1 or 2.3 ?
if not, is there any possibility (and hopefully some tools available;)
to access such devices from user space using generic scsi devices or similar ?
I don't like the idea that Linux isn't possible to read pretty standard media
from other OSs...
