No. This works fine with my setup (2.1.119, UP). I tried
first of all the command you suggested, but on our
network that took < 5 secs to complete, so couldn't type
the kill command in in time! Then I upped the blocksize
parameter to 50000k. I managed to send both signals fine
(`dd' quit on the second signal as expected). I also
left bs alone and set count=10000, causing `dd' to quit
on the first signal.
No crashes, no messages, however. What's your kernel version?
