Recently, I've been having a nasty problem with Linux (2.0.35) and various
SCSI configurations.
- Two Systems -
System A:
P2-233
Adaptec 2940UW
System B:
P2-266
Advansys
Common:
Both running MD RAID0.
So - when the system undergoes *any* strain, say.. a load average of 1 -
I immediately start getting read(6) timeouts from the SCSI driver, and the
system ceases to function.
Now, System-B happens to have Quantum Fireball 6.4 Gigs ... and I heard a
vicious rumor that these have a firmware problem? System-A has a mismatch
of Seagate drives.
Help.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
James Thomason
