Philips CD-ROM with Linux 2.0.35/2.1.xx

After installing Kernel 2.1.xx, I can't get my CD-Rom (Philips PCA202CD) to work. With 2.0.35 (and before) everything worked fine.

This is what 2.0.35 says:

HDC: no response (status = 0xd0), resetting drive
HDC: , ATAPI CDROM DRIVE

and 2.1.xx only says:

HDC: no response (status = 0xd0)
