I've some problems with recent experimental kernels and sound. Playing
audio stops ways before the end of the audio file is reached. It seems
that closing the file immediately stops playing (even if there are some
kilobytes in the buffer). It happens somewhere between 2.1.103 and
2.1.119. The behavior is ok for nonblocking files, but for normal
(blocking) files it's not ok. The Enlightenment sound deamon esd seems to
have a lot of problems with the new behaviour, too.
