Richard has his reasons to improve RT side
of Linux...in the next generation of
"multimedia" desktops and "super fast"
networks, perhaps Richards concerns may
become more mainstream (mixed user/RT
processes).

My point (perhaps uninformed) is that
I infer from Larry's messages a tone
that minimizes Richard's work on the
grounds that *even if Richard finds
something it won't matter to 99%
of the interesting applications*...
maybe in the near future "interesting"
might be defined differently.

Side note (question): BeOS wants to distiguish
itself as the "Media OS"...do they have
a scheduler that is more RT friendly?
