Well, mine is a Cyrix MII-300. PC-100 (pretty sure it is good) 128Meg
DIMM. Epox 1meg cache version of their MVP3 board.

I don't use stable (2.0.x) kernels on this machine. I too get this
"kernel: Error seeking in /dev/kmem" message on every boot. I do not
think it necessarily has to do with bus speeds over 66 because my CPU is
66x3.5. These messages did begin approximately at the same time I built
this machine and brought my hard drives etc. over to it. I think I was
running 2.1.115 at that point. Now using 2.1.122.

I do not get sig 11's (unless the case overheats, but that hasn't
happened in about a month, or I run out of memory and my drives were
asleep) on anything. The closest I get is bus errors. And 99.995% of
those come from Netscape when you do something it doesn't like.

Just another data point.
