my computer gets into an infinite loop while booting
Linux pre-patch-2.1.124-1.gz. It writes
"387 failed: trying to reset" over and over.
Kernels up to 2.1.123 worked fine.
The system is based on Dual-PentiumII, 233MHz,
Gigabyte GA-686LX2 motherboard. The kernel is compiled with
egcs-2.90.29 980515 (egcs-1.0.3 release)
