problems on compiling kernel 2.1.122

hy there kernel-people,

i get the following error-message while i try to make a new kernel

### this are the last 2 lines from the compiler, while he tried to link
the vmlinux
fs/filesystems.a(proc.o)(__ksymtab+0x0): undefined reference to
`proc_sys_root'
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1

what can i do now?
