IIRC, the 'redraw' option doesn't give you scrollback - you have to change it
to 'ypan' or 'ywrap' for that.
The difference between ypan and ydraw doesn't seem to be made very clear in
the documentation, though:

> thing and greatly speeds up fullscreen scrolling.
